Frequently Asked Questions

Essential information for fantasy football managers. Find answers to common questions about team selection, transfers, scoring systems, and league management.

Begin by selecting a squad of players within your allocated budget. Your team must consist of specific positions: goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and forwards. Each gameweek, you will choose your starting eleven and assign a captain who earns double points.

Research player form, upcoming fixtures, and injury news before making selections. Balance premium players with budget options to maximize your squad depth across all positions.

You receive one free transfer each gameweek. Additional transfers cost points from your total score. Strategic chips include the Wildcard (unlimited free transfers), Free Hit (temporary team for one week), Triple Captain (triple points instead of double), and Bench Boost (points from all bench players).

Key Strategy:

Plan chip usage around favorable fixture runs and double gameweeks. Save your Wildcard for major squad overhauls when form changes significantly across the league.

Players earn points based on their real-world performance. Goals, assists, and clean sheets provide the foundation. Additional points come from playing time, bonus points for outstanding performances, and penalties for cards or missed penalties.

ATTACKING
Goals: 4-6 points
Assists: 3 points
Bonus: 1-3 points
DEFENSIVE
Clean Sheet: 1-4 points
Yellow Card: -1 point
Red Card: -3 points

Your captain receives double points for their performance. The vice-captain automatically becomes captain if your chosen captain does not play. Select captains based on favorable fixtures, home advantage, and recent form patterns.

Premium forwards and attacking midfielders typically make the best captain choices due to their higher ceiling for points. Consider differential captains when chasing rank improvements in competitive leagues.

Access the leagues section from your dashboard to create a new private league or join existing ones using invitation codes. Private leagues allow you to compete directly with friends, colleagues, or community members while maintaining your overall ranking.

You can participate in multiple leagues simultaneously. Choose between classic scoring (total points) or head-to-head formats where you face different opponents each gameweek.

Missing the deadline means your team remains unchanged for that gameweek. Your unused free transfer does not roll over beyond one week. Set reminders before deadlines to ensure you make necessary changes based on the latest team news and injury updates.

Deadline Management

Deadlines typically occur before the first match of each gameweek. Plan transfers early but finalize decisions after press conferences reveal team lineups and fitness concerns.

The Bonus Points System awards additional points to the top three performing players in each match. Calculations consider actions including goals, assists, passes completed, tackles won, saves made, and other statistical contributions measured during the match.

The highest scoring player receives three bonus points, second place gets two points, and third receives one point. Ties result in shared bonus points distributed among tied players.

Player prices fluctuate based on transfer activity and performance. When many managers transfer a player in, their price increases. Conversely, players being transferred out experience price decreases. Your team value grows as your players appreciate in price.

Selling price differs from current price. You receive half of any profit made on a player when selling. Strategic early investment in rising players can provide additional budget flexibility for premium acquisitions later in the season.

Classic leagues rank managers based on cumulative points throughout the season. The manager with the highest total score wins. Head-to-head leagues operate like traditional sports leagues where you face one opponent each gameweek, earning three points for a win, one for a draw.

Classic Format

Consistent long-term performance matters most. Every point counts toward your final ranking position.

Head-to-Head Format

Weekly matchups create competitive drama. Winning individual battles determines league standings.

Automatic substitutions occur when starting players do not feature in their matches. Your bench order determines replacement priority. The first available substitute who meets formation requirements will replace non-playing starters.

Maintain a balanced bench with playing time guaranteed for at least your first substitute. Budget defenders from teams with favorable fixtures provide cost-effective bench coverage while preserving funds for premium attacking options.

Bench Strategy

Order your bench defensively with a playing goalkeeper first, then the most likely starting defender. This maximizes automatic substitution effectiveness when rotation strikes your starting lineup.
